CoolSculpting is a noninvasive fat reduction procedure that involves no anesthesia, needles, or incision. It's based on the principle of cooling subcutaneous fat to the point that the fat cells are destroyed by the cooling process and absorbed by the body.
The CoolSculpting device works by holding the part of your body your doctor wants to target between the two paddles. The paddles cool quickly and your doctor leaves them in place for about 35 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes. During that time, the process destroys about 20%-50 % of the fat cells in the targeted area.
